Semi-Linen Dish Towel

This semi or half-linen dish towel is also woven and made at the Vieböck textile mill in Austria. The semi-linen dish towel is available in three dark shades and feels pleasantly soft even when unironed. The origin of these dish towels called "Grubentücher" in german or "mining towels" lies in the history of mining. Miners used these towels to dry themselves and to protect their food from coal dust. Due to the dark coloring and pattern, the coal dust was not so easily visible.
